How Huddle312 works.

We compile. We don't chase.

Huddle312 is a continuously compiled record of the Chicago Bears. Incoming reporting is normalized into structured facts and routed to a small set of canonical pages — a game, a player, a person, a rumor, a season, a topic — rather than spawning a new thin article for every headline.

Selection

We monitor official team and league sources, trusted beat reporting, national reporting, and public commentary. A story is surfaced when it is Bears-relevant and comes from a source we have tiered.

Verification

Every claim keeps its source. Claims are labeled by verification state — confirmed, reported, developing, rumor, disputed. We never present speculation as fact. When trusted sources disagree, we say so and mark the item developing rather than picking a side.

Source tiers

Sources are tiered 1–5: primary/official (1), trusted beat (2), national (3), analysis (4), commentary and speculation (5). Tier drives confidence, how prominently a claim is shown, and whether it can be stated as fact on a canonical page.

Updates & finalization

Canonical pages update as new information arrives. A game page moves through pregame, live, and postgame, then is locked as a historical snapshot six days after kickoff. We only bump a page's "last updated" when it actually changes.
